Community healthcare workers are vulnerable on a daily basis, they face an unprotected and unpredictable environment each time they enter a client’s community and home.
The level of violence that workers face can range from verbal abuse, threats, stalking, assault and even homicide.
Verbal abuse from the client, family members, or people in the community is a form of workplace violence. Verbal abuse may be subtle, such as asking for help beyond the scope of the job, or it may be more obvious, such as complaining about job performance, appearance, making inappropriate or crude remarks or even threatening to cause harm.

Is Personal Safety YOUR Concern?

Personal safety, It's not exactly a topic that we want to talk about. 
We don't think for a moment that WE will be victims of crime. Just like we don't think we will have a heart attack, stroke or a car crash.
We certainly hope our loved ones, friends and team mates will never be victims either. 
But the reality is.. crime does happen.
Personal emergencies happen too.
Every Minute of every day.
No race, gender, religion or culture is immune.  

Solo travel, online dating, adventure sport, nights out on the town.. even going to work has it's risks if you are in an industry like health care, real estate, propterty, retail, sales or any job that involves shifts, remote or solo work..
So how do YOU best manage the inherent risks of being alive?

We all want to live a long and comfortable life...
So, the cost of NOT managing risks is really pretty high.
